Job Description:

  • Extensive
    Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle/ Testing Life Cycle/
    Automation Testing Life Cycle/Defect Life Cycle

  • Knowledge of Document Object Model
  • Strong in Descriptive programming
  • Develops Automation Test strategies based on Client Requirements
  • Identification of Tool Evaluation techniques for Test Automation (Hands on doing Feasibility study / POC)
  • Customization of Automation Framework for the given Application
  • Responsible for Test planning and Effort Estimation for Automation
  • Preparation of Automation Test Scripts/Suites using VB scripting
    in QTP and maintaining them in Quality Center/Test Director
  • Fair Understanding and Implementation of Descriptive Programming

  • Ability to Understand the limitations of Selected Add-ins and
    Perform Research to suggest necessary Add-in (or) provide consultation
  • Debugging & Reviewing skills and Fixing automation failures
  • Responsible for Automation Test Reporting

  • Collaborate with other Engineers and Team members to devise new or improved Techniques for solving problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Develops ROI analysis for Test Automation


Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred

  • 4+ years of Automation Experience with preferably 2+ years of
    experience in using Mercury/HP QTP (Advanced scripting knowledge)

  • Experience with Web Technologies Automation is a must
  • Open Source/any other Automation Tool Experience is a plus

  • HP QTP Certification is a plus
