I attended RBS telephonic interview yesterday for Test analyst position where they were looking for QTP professionals with knowledge of financial domain as an added advantage.

this was a technical interview.

the interview was a 25 min call and i was told that i will be informed over the email about the feedback and if selected i will be called for a face to face interview.

Questions:

Here are the questions that were asked

  1. What are your aspirations in terms of career
  2. Rate yourself in QTP  on scale of 1-10
  3. Tell me about what work you have done in QTP
  4. Have you used descriptive programming, why do we use descriptive programming and its advantages
  5. If there are two text boxes on a  Web page,  then how will you identify them using descriptive programming
  6. What will happen if webpage you identified changes will your above script fails?
  7. Have you used Actions in your project what is the difference between Action and function.
  8. How will you test a monthly bank statement of a particular account holder , tell me the test cases and test data you will use
