Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY :

TCL automation subject matter expert to other automation users. Develop system Test plans and test cases, and execute test cases. Raise problem Report on s/w defect found, and retest solution to the defect. Automate existing test cases using the existing automation infrastructure. Provide progress report to PV manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for various aspects of Product verification functions including:

  • the design and implementation of test strategy and test plans for telecom products
  • develop and execute test cases, raise problem reports, retest problem resolution, and perform Regression test
  • act as TCL/Expect automation subject matter expert to the rest of the team
  • assist design in debugging and isolating problems with the products
  • based on Product Specification and/or design documents, identify test configuration and test requirement to efficiently verify product functionality
  • provide input into the verification test planning, test configurations, and technical problem resolution
  • review and provide input to design functional description, and customer documentations
  • provide progress report during the verification cycle
  • recommend alternative methods to improve verification time and test coverage

SKILLS

  • Hands-on experience with the generation and execution of system verification test plans/test cases and familiarity with general Product Verification process.
  • Very thorough understanding and hand’s on experience with TCL/Expect in a telecom domain
  • Some working knowledge and exposure to one or more of the following: DSL technologies (DSLAMs), ATM networking protocols, TCP/IP, T1, OC-3, DS3, GbE, PPPoE, IGMP/multicast
  • Some working knowledge of, and exposure to, QTP or Winrunner an asset
