Job Description:

These are predominantly backend systems, and as such, this is a very technical QA role. Engineers on this team spend their days writing Test tools and test cases in JAVA/XML, assembling test environments, and executing tests and interpreting the Results. QA Engineers are expected to plan and document testing for their areas of responsibility and to interface proactively and directly with development teams.

Desired Profile:

  • Core Java proficiency with knowledge about Web-services and JMS, and XML.
  • Excellent Unix skills (FreeBSD and Red Hat Linux in particular)
  • Perl and scripting proficiency.
  • Knowledge of the Software Quality Assurance discipline (ability to plan a test effort, identify test cases, evaluate coverage, etc.)
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and Self directed.
