Job Description:

  • To analyze the system to determine what tests are required in order to achieve the objectives.
  • To produce Test specifications based test conditions, source documents (FSD, HLD, LLD) and coverage plans.
  • To design Test Cases, Test Scripts, and test data that address identified Test Requirements, and collate them into an overall Test Design.
  • To write detailed Test Scripts and assisting in executing them, Recording Results and collating test outputs and defects.
  • To set the scope and objectives, and produce the Test Plan. Once the Test Plan is produced, the primary responsibility is to act as a mentor for other Test Analysts.
  • To ensure the test conditions are traceable to requirements by preparing the requirement Traceability matrix.
  • To identify and resolve requirements which are duplicated, ambiguous, incomplete, contradictory, incorrect or test not needed.
  • To identify issues and risks.
  • To file any supporting material generated e.g. decision tables, logic flow charts.
  • To use automated testing tools where appropriate.
  • To raise incident reports that provides sufficient information to reproduce incidents to support effective and efficient resolution of those incidents.
  • To maintain metrics in line with project standards
