Job Description:
- Design, develop, and execute tests for services within the Novus Suite environment.
- Write tests using Java/JUnit as a framework for testing functionality of services via service APIs.
- Design, implement, and maintain the Java-based Test drivers and testing framework.
- Plan and execute functional, Integration, and Regression tests using a risk-based test strategy.
- Write and execute Manual and automated test scripts.
- Analyze and Report test Results.
- Analyze and document test cases for configuration changes to the environment
- Report and monitor defects and their resolution.
- Identify and implement Quality Best Practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar area, or equivalent work experience.
Required skills:
- 2+ years of software testing experience, including experience testing complex technical software from non-GUI APIs.
- 1+ years of experience programming in Java.
- 1+ years of experience using JUnit.
- 1+ years experience with XML.
- 1+ years of experience developing or testing oracle and/or SQL.
- 1+ years of experience with Websphere.
- 1+ years of experience with Ant/AntHill.
- Strong experience writing test documentation.
- Experience using software test automation and/or management tools.
- Experience using defect/issue-tracking tools.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exhibits passion for staying current on technologies and best practices as related to testing.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational, analysis, and problem solving skills.
- Must also be willing to express new and innovative ideas.
