Job Description:

  • Strong SQL. If a candidate doesn’t have SQL skills, it’s automatically a no-hire. Most of the testing will have to be done using SQL and PL/SQL so SQL is absolutely unavoidable.
  • Familiarity of database procedural language(s). PL/SQL is a strong plus but if a candidate has
  • knowledge/experience of SQLServer, DB2 or MySQL, etc procedural dialects – this is good enough. We just need to ensure that candidates are familiar with at least one of the SQL procedural dialects.
  • QC experience (either white box or black box testing or both). General QA/QC requirements including good communication skills apply.
  • Unix/Linux experience (user level is sufficient). Candidates should know basic things like how to identify a process, terminate a process, run executables in Unix env, etc.
  • UI automation experience with QTP, Selenium (or other similar tools).
  • Not mandatory but very strong plus:
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiar with open source database testing tools such as utPLSQL, DBUnit, etc.
  • Exposure to Healthcare/LifeScience domains.
