Job Description:

  • Creates, prepares and implements systems quality assurance reviews for applications supported by Emerging Technologies.
  • Responsible for primary development of testing strategies.
  • Consults with users, providing advice and direction.
  • Performs more complex analysis of business requirements and system specifications.
  • Serves as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project.
  • Creates Test plans and scripts for own projects.
  • Leads and reviews test plans written by others.
  • Performs moderately complex to complex test data conditioning, Regression testing and testing validation.
  • Provides specific guidance on defects to developers.
  • Gives direction to less experienced analysts. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects.
  • Documents all phases of the Systems QA process.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Primary Skill: QA-Automation
  • Secondary Skill : QA-Functional
  • Primary/Secondary Skill (if not part of standard list) : Mercury Quality Center, QTP, , SQL

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 - 7 years experience as a hands on Systems Quality Assurance Analyst on Software Development Projects plus 2-3 years experience as a Lead Systems Quality Assurance Analyst.
  • Advanced use and understanding of defect tracking tools, script repositories, and automated testing tools (QuckTestProfessional, Quality Center)
  • Demonstrated ability to author and execute test scripts in both Manual and automated formats.
  • Must be able to work independently and with little direction and supervision (self-starter, creative thinker)
  • Creative management approach (must be able to take a concept, develop the strategy and define/implement the project)
  • Demonstrate understanding of and comfort with technology
  • Customer service and customer focused experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a comfort level in communicating with individuals and groups
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft Office products and must be proficient in Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint. 4-year degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 - 7 years combined quality assurance and technical project management experience within a financial institution.:
  • Creative approach to business analysis structuring, workflow processing, and organization
  • Direct experience with configuration, management, support and maintenance of imaging applications
  • Direct experience working with end users of the SeeMorePlus, Athena, and BLAST applications
  • Ability to build and influence relationships
  • Excellent problem solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Experience querying databases
  • Experience supporting J-unit unit testing
