Job Description:

An Architect mainly does analysis and high level design. Tracks technical progress of a project to ensure compliance with or enhancement of the existing architecture or design. Involves in carrying out research, analysis in determining the Structure/architecture, design of software to implement the same. Has good understanding of hardware and software.

Responsibilities:
  • Very well versed with both functional and non-functional testing
  • Ability to design strategies for Test frameworks
  • Ability to set up multi OS (windows and non-windows (Linux, AIX, Solaris etc.) test labs
  • Design test framework
  • Design both white box and black box testing strategies
  • Define the platform quality bar for delivering business SLA
  • Review component and Integration test plans to ensure we have efficient mechanisms for prevention and earlier detection of SLA issues.
  • Drive testability into the design of the overall platform.
  • Develop innovative techniques to efficiently detect and diagnose potential problems
  • Devise mechanism to track and review progress against quality milestones across organization with senior management.
  • Coach and mentor team members on emerging technologies and testing techniques

Technology

  • Developed scripts using either MS Technologies/java/programming languages such as Perl, Python etc…
  • Familiar with installing, configuring multiple softwares (Operating systems/data bases/ etc..)

Test tools

  • Commercial test tools (At least from 2 vendors)
  • Open source test tools (Hands-on experience in developing scripts)

Test types

  • Performance, compatibility testing, test automation etc..
